Networks Networks are coordinated by the individual NSW PHC Consortium University Departments. Networks aim to provide education and research support to local primary health care providers who are interested in pursuing research and evaluation in general practice and primary health care. If you are interested in finding out more about a network in your regional area, the following list provides links to relevant web sites, or you may contact the NSW PHC Consortium University Department in your local region: PHReNet (Primary Health Research Network) PHReNet is a network of general practices, divisions of general practice and other primary care providers who are interested in research and evaluation in general practice and primary health care. The network is coordinated by the School of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of New South Wales and is based throughout the following regions: South Western Sydney; South Eastern Sydney; the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region; and the Greater Murray region, based in Wagga Wagga. HEARNet (Health Evaluation and Research Network) HEARNet is a multidisciplinary research network, coordinated by the Discipline of General Practice, University of Newcastle, designed to enhance research and evaluation capacity in Primary Health Care in the Central Coast, the Hunter, the Mid North Coast and the North West NSW.
Networks supported by the Discipline of General Practice, University of Sydney The Department of General Practice, University of Sydney, supports multiple research networks including: Regional lecturers in Research Capacity Building, The Informed Decision Making Group, The Central Sydney Evidence-Based Practice Club, and the Youth Health Research Interest Group (YHRIG).
RuralNet RuralNet is coordinated by the University Department of Rural Health (Broken
Hill), University of Sydney, and consists of a network of local researchers
who support the research development activities in Western NSW. For more
